The Taking of Overwatch Keep 20 Sanctum Cardinal Visc wants you to investigate the towers of Overwatch Keep and find the ritual summoning implements used to corrupt the castle of the High Elves. Perhaps this elven problem can be solved in a dwarven manner? As Bahralt has taught us, to be enlightened, one must have their house in order. There's something wrong with that castle. The cultists of Greenscale in House Aelfwar may have summoned something into the walls of that once blessed keep, and now it clouds their mind and strengthens their resolve to do evil. Search the towers of their most powerful mages and bring us their implements and we'll know what haunts the keep. Ach! The markings upon these implements are well known to those of us that have made a study of the dragons and their minions. The Aelfwar have summoned Glastig, Lord Twyl's most powerful servant. She often appears in the form of a beautiful elven maiden, occasionally a satyr, but we know her for what she really is. A demonic plant. A child of the corrupted tree of life. Have you recovered the implements that the Aelfwar used to summon the faer creature to their keep? Return to Cardinal Visc in Sanctum False Cardinal Visc Cardinal Visc Never 840 3000   Guardian
The Tech is Mightier than the Sword 14 Freemarch Power up the Positive Energy Cannon and put it to work destroying the undead of the Scarred Mire. This Distilled Spectral Essence will generate enough energy to power the Positive Energy Cannon. It should be able to destroy these undead whole legions at a time, though it will take someone with the right mix of courage and insanity to power it up. So close! We were so close! The machine worked beautifully. It just wasn't strong enough to bring down Jakub himself. I will work on another. It will be better, faster, stronger! Come now! Let's get that Positive Energy Cannon up and running and destroy those legions! Return to Brianna Tiamar in the Scarred Mire True Brianna Tiamar Brianna Tiamar Never 353 1710 Usable Defiant
The Things Beasts Keep 47 Stillmoor Robyn Stormgrave in Wolfsbane wants you to collect Attunement Stones from Emerald Scale Werewolves in Edgewood to the north. By all rights, a werewolf should be uncontrollably wild, yet the Aelfwar werewolves have somehow overcome this. The Attunement Stones they carry may have something to do with their self control, but we'll need more stones to be sure. Good, you have the Attunement Stones! If the Aelfwar are using them to overcome the savagery of lycanthropy, we can use them to our advantage. Please return with the Attunement Stones Bring the Attunement Stones to Robyn Stormgrave in Wolfsbane True Robyn Stormgrave Robyn Stormgrave Never 2813 4680 Collect Defiant
The Three Chiefs 38 Droughtlands Kill the centaur war chiefs that have been leading the attacks on Lantern Hook. Spiritmaster Tharus, Uthul the Hierophant, and Khulos the Huntmaster can be found in Centaur's Stand. Jon Tom's been thinking a lot about the Fleshrend war chiefs. The way Jon Tom sees it, if we kill the chiefs, we would send the horse-men into chaos. They hunt us, we hunt them. Simple, like Jon Tom likes it. You have slain the leaders of the Fleshrend. Jon Tom is pleased. Kill those chiefs dead. Return to Jon Tom at Lantern Hook True Jon Tom Jon Tom Never 1916 3870 Kill
The Towers Ablaze 18 Freemarch Enter the Iron Fortress and destroy the altars of power that give Jakub his strength. When Jakub seized the Iron Fortress, he corrupted the Altars of Freemarch. The power granted them by the Vigil now gives Jakub strength beyond our ability to defeat him. To destroy Jakub, you must destroy those altars. Jakub's Altar is destroyed, and its evil no longer binds the March Edge. For centuries, the sword was wielded by the kings of Freemarch as a symbol of justice, until Jakub's malevolence corrupted the blade. Your actions have restored the weapon to its former purity. Until the other altars of power are destroyed, Jakub's Altar remains impervious to harm. Examine Jakub's Altar in the Iron Fortress True March Warden Denegar   Never 530 2070 Usable Defiant
The Toxic Source 23 Darkening Deeps Marshal Oakheart wants you to enter the Darkening Deeps, north of Gloamwood Pines, and find the missing squad of crusaders as well as the source of the Gedlo conclave's new power. The Gedlo priests worship Maelforge the Wanton, Dragon of Fire. They've grown increasingly powerful, and we need to know how. I sent soldiers into the Darkening Deeps, but they never returned. Take a team of comrades into that pit of a city and discover what is going on. If the goblins of the Darkening Deeps have a spawn of Maelforge, then our crusade in Gloamwood is not over. I'll send word to Sanctum that we'll search for signs of this whelp's activity. If I find evidence, I'll have Tam Daggerborne call for your aid. Have you found the missing crusaders, [%NAME]? What about the secret of the Gedlo council? The goblins of the Darkening Deeps have discovered some new connection to their draconic god. We need to know what it is, and soon. Return to Marshal Oakheart in Gloamwood Pines True Marshal Oakheart Marshal Oakheart Never 1276 5040 Talk
The Trapper's Unrest 36 Droughtlands Jahan Rizel told you that Trapper's Rest has been overrun by kobolds. The survivors are currently making camp at the nearby Lantern Plateau and could use your assistance. Be wary journeying into the Droughtlands. Kobold tribes have moved in, driving everyone out of Trapper's Rest and making it dangerous to travel the region. If you plan to brave this desert, you should check on the survivors. They could probably use some help. You heard right - we barely escaped the kobolds at Trapper's Rest, and now they're blocking the routes to Freemarch and Shimmersand. We could sure use some help, if you're willing to lend a hand. Watch out for those kobolds! Speak with Matius Serin at Lantern Plateau True Jahan Rizel Matius Serin Never 696 1230 Talk
The Truth Comes Out 47 Stillmoor Deliver Hylas's Command to Jane Pierce in Trial of the Sentinel, north of Edgewood. You found this document on Galenir's corpse: "Galenir, the time is upon us. You must engage the Endless Court's attention long enough for my squad to infiltrate Greenscale's prison. Once I have freed our trapped god, we will be lords of all Telara! "Luck favor us, "Hylas" This is grim news! I thought killing Galenir would end the Aelfwar threat, but their invasion was a ploy. I'll alert Sanctum, but our forces here simply don't have the resources to complete this mission and also go after Hylas. I pray other heroes will stop him. May I help you? Deliver Hylas's Command to Jane Pierce in Trial of the Sentinel True   Jane Pierce Never 2813 4680 Deliver Guardian
The Ultimate Component 46 Shimmersand Hazeed wants you to soak the dagger Raz'ahan in the blood of Tam Daggerborne, but you must report what you have discovered to Kasia Phelorn on the wall of The Flatyard. Do you know what this machine is, [%NAME]? The Defiants would call it an Interplanar Realignment Engine. I call it the return of Laethys, my golden queen! With it, I will open an earth rift that will sunder The Flatyard and unleash my lady upon this world. All I need is one last component: the blood of Tam Daggerborne. This isn't a dagger - it's a plane slicer! And not just any plane slicer. It is Raz'ahan, left edge of destiny. That man is Prince Hazeed, last of the line of Ethian kings, and leader of the Golden Maw. He's been using us and this prison as a staging ground for his plans. Give me the dagger; we must deal with this now.   Bring Raz'ahan to Kasia Phelorn in The Flatyard True Hazeed Kasia Phelorn Never 1082 1530
The Unlucky Few 48 Shimmersand Gregor Banan wants you to free Defiant Prisoners from the Mind Converter Cells at Sandstorm Refuge, southwest of Windfury Post. I've had some other Defiant heroes come through here on their way to Sandstorm Refuge, but I haven't seen any come back out again. I'm sure they're fine, but just in case, why don't you go make sure they haven't gotten themselves in too deep. I thought so. It doesn't pay to be overconfident, you know? You strike me as the smart type that doesn't go charging off into danger without having a plan first. I guess that's why Lady Asha thinks so highly of you. Sandstorm Refuge is to the southwest, on the other side of Scaldwater Fields. Return to Gregor Banan at Windfury Post True Gregor Banan Gregor Banan Never 2924 4770
The Unspoken 25 Sanctum Speak with Marshal Onsorg about the discovery of the Codex in the hills of Stonefield. The Codex! Its secrets will unmake the Ward and the creatures of the planes will devour us! Yes [%Name], I have had another vision. The Vigil tests me. This has happened just as the Unspoken, a holy order of Thontic, have joined the Guardians. Their monastery had been discovered by the Defiants and most of their numbers were slaughtered. Meet with Marshal Onsorg, he will show you what needs to be done to keep the Codex from the Defiant. ... <The monk looks at you intently and then nods in gratitude.>   Find Marshal Onsorg in Thedeor's Circle True Fayne Doran Marshal Onsorg Never 368 900
The Vessel of Estrode 40 Runic Descent Abbess Katia wants you to enter Runic Descent and find the fragments of the Vessel of Estrode. Gather the Vessel fragments and bring them back to Sanctum for safe keeping. Did you hear him, [%NAME]? They were able to free themselves from their pacts to Hylas and Greenscale. Though they gave themselves to the Destroyer, it does mean that we can break the Primordial Dragon's hold upon the plane. It can be cleansed. The vessel that corrupted Gorvaht should be recovered and contained. We will not take the same path, for therein lies corruption. But we cannot let others, friend or foe, fall into the trap of its magic. Enter Runic Descent and find these fragments. I will seal these fragments in the Vault of Heresy, where they will never again corrupt mortal or spirit with the lies of the Destroyer. Thank you again, [%NAME]. This quest you have been set on will surely help to redeem Telara from the dragons. Have you entered Runic Descent and recovered the Vessel of Estrode? Return to Abbess Katia in Sanctum. False Abbess Katia Abbess Katia Never 3360 8100   Guardian
The View from Up Here 45 Stillmoor Clark Stamp in Crusader's Advance would like you to survey the landscape using the Scout's Telescope to the west. Since the end of the Mathosian War, the Endless Court has dominated Stillmoor. For years, they've tightened their grip on the population, but now they're growing their armies and moving troops. Take a look through the Scout's Telescope, and give me your assessment. It's apparent the Endless Court is active in the Eye of Regulos. Our best guess is that they're extracting death magic, but eventually, we'll have to go there and see for ourselves. For now, however, our strategy is to weaken them by liberating towns such as Burlingham. The Scout's Telescope is on the ridge to the west. Return to Clark Stamp in Crusader's Advance True Clark Stamp Clark Stamp Never 1733 3000 Usable Guardian

The Vigil's Blessing 49 Shimmersand Perform several blessings of the Vigil upon Raz'ahan to further hone its power against Hazeed. The materials and holy objects can be found in Golden Summit and Dawnbreak Point. You are destined to wield the blade Raz'ahan against the cursed Prince Hazeed, [%NAME]; though something still troubles me. The blade was once a tool of the sorcerer-kings of Ancient Eth. It is tainted by their unholy ways. It must be cleansed. It must be blessed. Raz'ahan must become a tool of the Vigil. I can feel the divine energy emanating from the blade. The Vigil has blessed this weapon and its wielder. Hazeed will fall. Glory to the Guardians! If we can infuse the dagger with the power of the Vigil, we are sure to triumph over this evil. Return to Thomas Penthas at Dawnbreak Point True Thomas Penthas Thomas Penthas Never 3036 4860
The Vigil's Shield 19 Silverwood Use the Aegis of the Vigil in Overwatch Keep to gain its protection, and kill 1st Order Aelfwar to attune it. Once the Aegis is attuned, talk to the Spirit Guide in Overwatch Keep. I hear them - the voices of the Vigil have never been more resolute. This Aegis of the Vigil will unleash the wrath of the gods upon Kongeegon. First, it must be attuned to fae magic by killing Hylas's lieutenants. You are in the Vigil's hands now, [%Name]. The Aegis of the Vigil is instilled with the power of the gods, which the 1st Order Aelfwar learned to their sorrow. Your path is clear, though you may not know it. With each cry of pain, the forest screams for justice. With the Vigil's blessing, you will prevail. Your path is certain, but you are not ready. The gods shine upon you, [%NAME]. Take the Aegis to the Spirit Guide in Overwatch Keep False Niall Adnar Spirit Guide Never 579 2160 Use Item
The Void's Deluge 39 Moonshade Highlands Faceless Man wants you to release Runebound Demons from their vessels and use the Spectral Charger on them to drain their energy. The Grey Gardens may please the eye, but amongst its blossoms grows the darkest evil. We must purge the foul dwarven vessels that pollute this place, but there's no reason we can't benefit from the process. Release demons from their runecraft prisons and drain them with this Spectral Charger. Excellent. The essence contained in this device may prove useful later. Though I could not see your actions with my eyes, I sensed your heroics nonetheless. We will definitely find a good use for you, [%class]. Our first course of action must be to push back the corruption and deplete the foul vessels that pollute the Grey Gardens. Release the demons from their vessels and drain them with this Spectral Charger. Return to Faceless Man at Reclaimer's Hold True Faceless Man Faceless Man Never 2007 3960
The WAD 50 Meridian Sylver has asked you to seek out the necessary knowledge to decoding the schematics by digging out clues found at the Codex. A number of parchments were found folded in Corthana's spellbook. I believe that these have something to do with a machine they built to help them defeat Regulos. The symbology is reminiscent of items we found at the Codex. Perhaps you could return there and see what else might have been excavated? Brilliant, positively brilliant! This cipher will help me figure out how the ancients recorded their studies, and thus, how to interpret the symbols on these particular plans... I believe the Codex may hold some clues about decoding these parchments. Return to Sylver in the College of Planar Studies True Sylver Valis Sylver Valis Never 3150 4950   Defiant
The Wallowing Abyss 40 Moonshade Highlands Lieutenant Rutger wants you to collect Abyssal Runes from Abyssal cultists in Hammerknell Fortress. We should have seen the Abyssal's plot earlier and stopped Tidelord Brenin before he gained knowledge of the forbidden craft of runebinding. Now that the Abyssal cult knows how to breach the fortress walls, we must steal the tools they use to burrow into the fortress's enchanted walls. Good work, [%class]. You have weakened the Abyssals' ability to breach Hammerknell, and with these runes at our disposal, we can learn how they mastered runebinding so quickly. Someday, we will retake Hammerknell, but for now, there are more cultists to kill. The Abyssal cult has gained far greater knowledge of runebinding than we ever should have allowed. Runebinding is what got us into this mess in the first place, after all. To prepare for the day when the Runeguard takes back Hammerknell, we need to weaken the Abyssal cult by stealing the source of their power. Bring the Abyssal Runes to Lieutenant Rutger at Reclaimer's Hold True Lieutenant Rutger Lieutenant Rutger Daily 2100 4050
The Water Runs Deep 39 Moonshade Highlands Uriel Chuluun wants you to investigate the increased water magic activity at Molinar Crossing, northeast of Stonemason's Watch, and confront any Abyssal you find there. We need to find out what Tidelord Brenin and his cohorts are doing in the Highlands. Is it just a quest for power, or is it something more? I've managed to pinpoint the area with the highest levels of tidetouched magic. I want you to go there to see what you can discover about the Abyssal activity in this area of Moonshade. As I suspected, there is more to Brenin's plans than just mayhem and looting. It seems that fool thinks he can break into Hammerknell itself. First things first, [%NAME]; these orders you brought me indicate where they have been keeping the main body of our missing machine. Proceed with caution, [%NAME]. Though I am getting readings of a lot of tidetouched activity at that location, I am unsure of the number of Abyssal you might encounter. Bring Valberg's Orders to Uriel Chuluun at Stonemason's Watch True Uriel Chuluun Uriel Chuluun Never 2007 3960
