Not yet. There is no way known way to break preloaded versions to play early. You will be able to play the preloaded version of Portal 2 when it is released. And since it's preloaded, you will have access to the game right at Midnight!

No you can't. That is the whole idea of preloading.

It's to allow you to play as soon as it is out instead of waiting to download through overworked servers with everyone who did not preload/preorder.

And attempting to play a preload copy is a violation of Valve TOS and can be considered as piracy.

Unfortunately No, the preloaded version of portal 2 is encrypted (read: locked) and the codes to unlock the files don't become available until the game is officially released. Essentially without the codes all the games files are nonsense/indecipherable.

Many people have tried to "break" the code, but unless you get extremely lucky, there is no known way to bypass this restriction.  (Even if you have the game from less then official sources). This is one of the benefits to a game released on steam (no zero day leaks).

Once the key is out, the files can then be turned into the "real" ones and the game can be played by all.

Yes you can. But by breaking the encryption you are violating Valve's TOS and they can disable your account.

So i wouldn't.

No you cannot.  While the game is completely downloaded to your drive, it is still encrypted.  At release, the game will decrypt irself.

You can play your preloaded now as it is now unlocked.

No, you can't play any preloaded game until it has been unlocked (decrypted). This is true for all Steam games, not just Portal 2.

No you cant because Steam has to unlock the game officialy and has to decrypt the files of the game.
