terraria why isnt the x button on the top right corner of the window to close game working?

i want to quit terraria without saving but its refusing to close the window only way it will let me exit is with exit & save? do i need to shut down computer or something or is there easier way?

It's to prevent the player from closing the game without saving it, thus losing their progress. In case you do want that to happen, just press Alt+F4 to close it.
