The new video game, Legend of Grimrock, has been released as of April 11, 2012. Legend of Grimrock is an old school twist on dungeon crawling games, having a similar style to popular classic RPG games such as Eye of the Beholder and Ultima Underworld.

In this game, you create a party of four characters (or use a pre-made party). You can choose from four races: Humans, Minotuars, Lizardmen and Insectoids, and three classes: Fighter, Mage and Rogue. These four adventurers are sent to a dungeon inside a mountain, filled with monsters, riddles, and puzzles. Game features a special magic system, where you lay different patterns of runes on a 3x3 grid to cast various spells. It also has an interesting Bestiary, including Giant Snails, Undead Soldiers, Herders, Crowern, and Uggardians.

Legend of Grimrock is available only on PC. You can purchase it through the publisher's website, or through Steam and GOG. It is currently priced at $14.99. Overall, this game has gotten favorable reviews from the media, including a 8.5/10 from IGN, and a 9.5/10 from Destructoid. Legend of Grimrock was developed and published by the Finnish Indie Game Studio, Almost Human Ltd.
