Sony Announces God Of War Saga And Infamous Collection

Sony has announced a new line of games dubbed "Collections" which will compile all of the entries in one series onto one convenient disc. The games giant had already announced a Ratchet & Clank Collection for release on August 28th, but now they've announced that Kratos and Cole will be joining the loveable duo in their own themed collections. The God of War Saga Collection will include a whopping five games; the disc will contain God of War, God of War II, God of War III, God of War: Chains of Olympus, and God of War: Ghost of Sparta. Those who have been keeping track will note that this is the third God of War collection to be released on the PS3, but it's also the most complete, and certainly the best value. Those who haven't played the excellent PSP games in particular owe it to themselves to check it out.
The Infamous Collection will be much less impressive sounding on paper, but we can assure you that the games are just as good. Cole's collection will include Infamous, Infamous 2, and the excellent PSN-exclusive Infamous: Festival of Blood.
Both collections will also include "exclusive bonus content." In the Infamous Collection, that content will take the form of extra missions, but the God of War content hasn't been specified yet. All of the games in all of the collections will have their own trophies, even titles that didn't originally ship with them. Finally, both of these compilations will retail for $39.99, but future titles under the Collection banner may ship for as low as $29.99.
