Bandai Namco Presents House of Ashes - E3 2021

Not too surprising, this presentation launched immediately into a trailer.A group of soildiers are thrown underground and hunted by a sneaky foe. This is House of Ashes, the next game in the Dark Pictures anthologies, releasing October 22, 2021. We got a developer interview after the trailer with Dan. This anthology is in the same universe as others. The soldiers are sent to find weapons of mass descrution. They bump into an Iraq unit, but an earthquake pulls everyone, underground, and all seperated. This one pulls from the legend of Naram-Sin, the self-proclaimed godking. They've done a lot of research to get what information they could get. There are strange creatures lurking throughout this underground caverns. There will be a lot of peril throughout the game. There are at least 60 unique deaths throughout the whole of the story. This game is iterating on its predecessors, giving more control to the player to search. This just has enhanced their abilities to bring the scares as well. This one will have difficulty settings and the option to turn off QTE warnings, just having them occur immediately when they do.
From there, they focused on House of Ashes, the new game from Super Massive. This is the third entry into the Dark Pictures anthology. It will join Until Dawn as well as Little Hope for this anthology. They brought on commentators who were talking about the game. This panel had a last minute change to focus only on House of Ashes.
