Fallout 4 DLC Revealed

Bethseda has finally revealed the first DLC package for Fallout 4. This game, thus far, has 3 new pieces comes down the pipeline for it. Two are smaller add-ons, expanding the possibilities within the game itself. The final piece is a large new area with a lot of content to it which you get to explore with one of your numerous companions. There is more DLC coming but these are just the first pieces to be revealed. Because of this, after March 1st, 2016, the DLC Season pass will increase from its starting price of $29.99 to $49.99 (£24.99 to £39.99 GBP; $49.95 to $79.95 AUD). But there is even more DLC coming. You will be getting well over what you are paying for. In many ways, this is Bethesda giving their thanks to the fans who have made this large DLC endeavor possible through the support of the game. It will be receiving a number of updates and even more DLC throughout the year.

The first one we will be receiving is called Automatron. It has a release of March 2016 and retail for $9.99 (US)/£7.99 (GBP)/$16.95 (AUD).

This piece of DLC adds in a mysterious new character, the Mechanist. They have unelashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth. The Sole Survivor can hunt them down, destroy them, collect parts from them and then build their own robotic companion to travel with them. Some of these robots will be armed with a completely new weapon: the Lightning Chain Gun. This will let the Sole Survivor work with hundreds of mods. The modifications involve mixing limbs, armor, abilities and weapons. You will able to customize the paint job and choose the voice of the robot that you have traveling with you.

The second DLC release is called The Wasteland Workshop. It has a release of April 2016 and retail for $4.99 (US)/£3.99 (GBP)/$7.95 (AUD).

The second piece adds a monster collection element to the game. You will get expanded options for your Settlement. Giving you a number of new lighting and design options. If you wanted to get a different appearance to your settlement, this DLC will greatly expand those options. You will have greater taxidermy options as well. So you will able to mount a number of trophy heads in your personal dwelling. Killing an Alpha Deathclaw and want to show it off? You can with this DLC! You will find greatly increased personalization options for your settlement here.

But that is just part of what the DLC has to offer. You will be able to design and set cages to trap live creatures in. If you ever wanted a pet Deathclaw, this DLC will give you that option. You will be able to tame them, face off your captive creatures in battle or loose them on your settlements.

The third piece of DLC revealed is Far Harbor. It has a release of May 2016 and retail for $24.99 (US)/£19.99 (GBP)/$39.95 (AUD).

This is a new case available through the Valentine Detective Agency. The Sole Survivor and Nick Valentine will be off in search of a young woman and a secret colony of Synths. Travel to the coast of Maine to the mysterious Far Harbor Island.

Far Harbor is far from hospitable. You will encounter higher levels of radiation in general. This has created a harsher environment that life has had to adapt to. The Sole Survivor will be swept up in the conflict between the local townspeople, the Children of Atom and the Synths. Your goal will be peace among the various factions warring here. The question will simply be what will that peace cost. There will be a number more Faction quests, dungeons, creatures, weapons and armor. This could include some more Power Armor sets as well.
