- Click on your loot to pick it up! Items dropped by monsters and chests can only be seen by you. Items dropped by other players can be picked up by anyone.
- Press PUBLIC GAMES to automatically find other games on or near your current quest step.
- Safety in numbers! More players = tougher monsters. Work as a team to take monsters down quickly.
- Invite friends to join your game! Choose their name in your FRIENDS list, then press the INVITE button.
- Request to join a friend's game! Choose their name in your FRIENDS list, then press the REQUEST INVITE button.
- Press CHANGE QUEST to start the game from any quest step you've already completed.
- Equip your followers with new weapons and select new abilities for them as they level up!
- Your shared stash, gold, crafter levels and recipes are available to all the characters on your account.
- Hold SHIFT to attack without moving. Great for ranged attacks!
- Press ALT to see the loot on the ground.
- Press the V key to show/hide enemies' health bars.
- Demon Hunters can dual wield 1-handed crossbows!
- Some skills require a melee weapon to use, while others require a ranged weapon. Check your tooltips!
- Click on another player's banner in town to teleport to that player's current location.
- The world of Sanctuary is ever changing! Monsters, treasure and terrain are repopulated in a new configuration each time you enter the game.
- The bartender at the Slaughtered Calf Inn in New Tristram sells health potions and identify scrolls for all your adventuring needs.
- Every hero has a primary weapon attack that does not count against their skill limit.
- Consumable items, like scrolls and potions, can be placed on your toolbar for easy access.
- Craft the same item multiple times to try for better results. Each crafted item is different!
- Vendors each sell different items. Visit them all to see what they have in stock--perhaps they have an item for that slot you have yet to fill!
- Quick Join: Set your PRIVACY setting to "Open to Friends" so your friends can join your game without requesting an invitation.
- Banner Customization: You can customize your banner in the main menu. New components unlock as you play, so check back frequently to update your banner!
- You can play in any difficulty you've unlocked by selecting CHANGE QUEST in the main menu.
- New difficulty settings unlock as the game is completed on each difficulty setting. Normal unlocks Nightmare, Nightmare unlocks Hell, and Hell unlocks Inferno.
- Hardcore! Beat the game on the Normal difficulty setting to unlock Hardcore mode, where death is permanent!
- Test your mettle! New weapons, armor and challenges can be found in later difficulty settings.
- Click on objects with a blue highlight - sometimes they grant a reward!
- Health globes heal everyone in your party.
- There is no cow level.
- Quick Join: Set your PRIVACY setting to 'Open to Friends' so your friends are notified about your game when they come online-and can join with one click!
- Resurrect fallen friends by clicking on their corpses.
- You can change the properties of your hotkeys on your GAMEPLAY screen (accessed through your OPTIONS menu).
- Open your quest log by pressing Q to get more details on your current quest step!
- Run over gold to pick it up-no clicking required!
- Press the D key to show/hide friend's health bars.
- Stay awhile and listen - your lore books can be accessed through their tab in your quest log.
- Holding the left mouse button on open ground will move you without engaging enemies.
- Holding the right mouse button on open terrain will move you until an enemy is encountered, then it will automatically use the attack skill mapped to the right mouse button.
- Demon Hunters can equip a quiver with any ranged weapon!
- Many skills will target enemies automatically when mapped to right mouse button if you hold right mouse button to move.
