Capcom sets dates on Mega Man Legacy Collection, Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition and Resident Evil 0 Remastered

Capcom has recently announced a number of different remakes and a compliation that will be available to the gaming public.

Mega Man Legacy: Relase Date - Winter 2015, Price - $15

This new compilation of Mega Man offers the first 6 titles in the series. With some retouched music, you will also find Challenge Mode, Replays and Leader boards. You will also find a Museum feature added into the game. This will give you access to a lot of concept art and development sketches.

Challenge mode takes moments from each of the titles and weaves them into a single level. You can find yourself in a boss rush against all the bosses from Mega Man 1 or 2. It could be a variety of pieces from different levels combined together. For those who make it through, their replays will be uploaded for other Mega Man players to see. The leader boards will let you see how your skills stack up against other players worldwide. Suddenly the score from Mega Man 1 does not seem so useless.

You will also find a Database that has been added into each of the games. Here is where things really change compared to other compilations of the titles. This lets you get details on numerous foes found in each individual one. If you have been having trouble with a boss or a particular foe, this Database will let you challenge that foe directly.

Mega Man 1-6 are classic games of their time. With solid game play, tight controllers, challenging levels and lots of replay value, they offer something for everyone across the gaming spectrum. While they can be challenging, it is rare that you will feel cheated out of a life (though it will happen once in a while).

This isn't the first time Capcom has bundled together the first 6 Mega Man games. The last time was with the Mega Man Anniversary Collection. This was on the Gamecube, Playstation 2 and Xbox. This did include more games, like Mega Man 7 and 8, plus two hidden arcade games (Mega Man: Power Battle  and Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters) that saw very limited release outside Japan previously. While not included in this particular release, the addition of the other features helps make up for it.

Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition (Release Date: PS4/Xbox One - June 18th, June 23rd for all other announced consoles), Price - $25

The last entry into the Devil May Cry series before its reboot is about to get remade. You will have a total of 5 playable charactres, some previously unavailable. The addition of a new difficulty and the new characters will offer up something for those who love the challenge and completing these games. The big difference will be the addition of Vergil, Trish and Lady as bonus playable characters. Each of them will have their own opening and ending movies. Pre-ordering early will also get unique costumes for Trish and Lady.

You will also have a new difficulty on consoles: Legendary Dark Knight Mode. This was previously only available for the PC version of Devil May Cry 4. This goes past Very Hard (Son of Sparda). There are hordes of enemies, with more variety than originally encountered.

Resident Evil 0 - Early 2016 Price - $25 ?

The prequel to the original Resident Evil is coming back. Set 3 months before the events of the first Resident Evil, this has a STARRS rescue team being sent in to investigate what has happened to an Umbrella Train. Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen must work together to reach the front of the train. This game introduced “Partner Zapping”, where you could freely switch between both characters to take advantage of their different skills. Only by taking advantage of both sets of skills can you get through to the end of the game.

This game will have improved graphics as well. The game will be running at 1080p, with surround sound and different aspect ratios. It will also present the option of using the Original Control Scheme (Classic) or a Modern, analog based method.
