How To Capture Gameplay From A PS4

The PlayStation 4 comes out thsi Friday the 15th in North America, and just a few days later on the 19th in Europe. For YouTube streamers, this means having to wrangle a whole new piece of hardware in order to keep the hits flooding in. Luckily, VG24/7 has put together a video guide showing off how to hook the PS4 up to a PC and capture gameplay from the new console.
Like with the PS3 and the Xbox 360, a capture card is a totally viable way to grab the video image from the PS4 and display it on your PC or Mac. While lots of capture cards go up to 720p, you'll want to have one capable of going 1080p because of how nice many next-gen games look (although it's been confirmed that a lot of Xbox One games won't output in 1080p, pretty much everything on the PS4 thus far will go that high.) If you've got any of the recent Elgato kits, you should be just fine, as they've been doing 1080p for a while now.
Annoyingly enough, you'll need to use an HDCP stripper to capture just like you did on the PS3.
