SDCC 2013: Blizzard Product Showcase Panel

The biggest panel of today's Comic Con festivities was arguably Blizzard's annual product showcase, during which the revered studio revealed new products for the coming year, some of which were available exclusively at this year's Con!

Below is a comprehensive list of every single product that Blizzard revealed at their showcase.

Today's panel consisted of Micky Neilson, Chris Metzen, Brant Bridges, Jason Bischoff, and Cory Stockton.

San Diego Comic Con 2013 Exclusives:

  • A hardcover Blizzard art book straight from SDCC
  • A reversible Zergling plushie - and a cute one at that

Sculptures:

  • Sideshow Entertainment revealed continued progress on a grand sculpture of Diablo, from the titular role-playing series. The statue comes complete with a menacing internal glow provided by LED lights. The impressive statue will ship in November.
  • A Deathwing statue with massive wingspan and stunning detail was revealed for the first time today. It has been in development for over a year and a half, and almost wasn't ready to debut at today's panel. The artists had to work big time to get the Deathwing statue ready for display today. Sideshow almost thought that they wouldn't be able to show the statue, since there weren't any glass displays available large enough to house it. Yeah, it's that big. Sideshow is shooting for a 2014 release.
  • A 1:6 scale Raynor statue was also revealed today. Everything is represented at scale - even the fingers have 3 joints apiece. The statue stands at around 15 inches, and is made up of 525 individual pieces. Pre-orders will begin in a few weeks at Starcraft2.com, so be on the lookout.
  • A Kerrigan statue will accompany the Raynor counterpart. This lithe, seductive sculpture was crafted by the same hands as last year's exquisite Poison Ivy Sideshow piece.

Collectibles:

  • Blizzard Funko POP! are coming September 14. Blizzard is making an attempt to diversify their offerings and get into different styles of merchandise.
  • A NECA action figure of Diablo will be coming around the console launch of Diablo 3. "The hope is we can do more of these things [NECA figures]."
  • A stylized, chibi-styled Sylvanas figure was revealed for the first time today. Her style is a result of months of in-house testing and voting.
  • The Pearl of Pandaria comic is complete and on sale.
  • The 'Diablo 3: Sword of Justice' comic has been collected into one volume for the first time and is now on sale.
  • Blizzard just launched a comic called 'Dark Riders' with the goal of making accessible characters, perhaps inspired by characters who players play in the game. Bloodsworn comics are also out now.
  • The Vol'jin is a novel coming from Blizzard that will expand the lore of their in-game worlds.
  • Blizzard is publishing a World of Warcraft children's book. Called 'Snow Fight,' the picture book sports gorgeous artwork and a good message. There's no solid release date yet, but Blizzard promises that there are plenty of inside jokes included to amuse grown-up fans, too.
  • World of Warcraft is getting a visual guide book made in association with DK Publishing, and designed to give fans a sense of the world and its history.
  • World of Warcraft Trivial Pursuit will release in October.
  • A World of Warcraft poster book is coming out, and includes 32 full-size posters.
