It had been rumored that The Elder Scrolls would be receiving an MMO adaption. Trademarks and copyrights seemed to point to the fact that this would happen someday, and in all honesty Bethesda Softworks would have been crazy not to jump on the MMO bandwagon after the massive success of last fall's Skyrim, but today's trailer for The Elder Scrolls Online still managed to come as somewhat of a surprise to me.

Granted, this is just a small teaser trailer and doesn't actually show any gameplay, indicating that the game may still be farily early on in development. Still, the prospect of exploring the rich and complex world of The Elder Scrolls in an MMO setting has my blood pumping, and I typically don't even buy into the genre.
