Dishonored: The Knife Of Dunwall DLC Safe Locations And Combinations Guide
- 4-17-2013
- Categorized in: Strategy Guides, Video Game News
Our series of guides for Dishonored's new 'The Knife of Dunwall' DLC is still an ongoing process. After all, between all of the Runes, Bone Charms, Blueprints and safe locations and combinations, there is a metric ton of stuff to explore and collect in the expansion. This is especially true for the game's safe combinations, which are actually randomized from a set for each player. We've figured out the cipher for all of the safes in the beginning level of the game, though, and wanted to share what we've found so far.
If you find any safes that we've missed, or know of any combinations that aren't listed here, please feel free to share and expand upon the guide in the comments section below.

Guardhouse Safe:
This safe is found in the small guardhouse just past the wall of light that sits in the first area of the DLC. Head over the wall of light using Blink or disable it by removing the whale oil canisters, and then follow the path through to the second open area and look to your left. You'll find the guard house here. This safe combination is actually pretty easy to get as long as you have the funds, because you can purchase a hint before the mission that will guide you to the location of the safe's combination. Head to the back of the area and smash the wooden pallette on the back wall to find the combination hidden behind it.
If you still need the combination, it will likely be one of the following:
775, 763, 187, 876, 937, 588
Rothwild's Safe:
The combination to Rothwild's safe is found inside of a logbook called Injury Report Code. There will be three numbers contained within consisting of the numbers of injuries and fatalities over the last week. The sick tycoon has set his password to match. The numbers we've collected so far are:
876, 512
And that's it for now. Again, if you have info to add, please feel free. There are tons of safes and combinations in Dishonored, and the fastest way to find them all is by piling all of our experiences together.
Another code for the guard house safe: 686
i didnt buy the favour but i think 728 may also work for the first safe, as none of the ones above did and i flicked them around randomly in annoyence
One of the numbers for the guardhouse safe is also 913.
I'm guessing that these numbers, while maybe limited, are randomly generated. - Captain Obvious
My guardhouse safe code: 946
On my second playthrough, guardhouse safe code was 233.
816 is also code for the first safe.
Mine got opened till 729
