Batman: Arkham City Game Of The Year Edition Announced

Batman: Arkham City was met with huge success both critically and financially when it released in October last year, so it's no surprise to see it making a comeback in the form of a Game of the Year edition. 2009's Batman: Arkham Asylum got a similar treatment soon after it was released, after all. Now, Warner Bros. Interactive and Rocksteady have announced a new edition of the acclaimed sequel that will include all of the DLC available for the regular edition of the game, along with some new box art crammed so full of critical praise it's almost difficult to discern the central image.

The DLC packs included on-disc in the Game of the Year eidition are as follows: The Catwoman Pack, the Nightwing Bundle Pack, the Robin Bundle Pack, the Challenge Map Pack, and the Arkham City Skins Pack. These packs will include the following maps for play in the game's Challenge mode: Wayne Manor, Main Hall, Freight Train, Black Mask, The Joker's Carnical, Iceberg Lounge, and the Batcave. The included DLC also includes the following skins: 1970s Batsuit, Year One Batman, The Dark Knight Returns, Earth One Batman, Batman Beyond Batman, Animated Batman, Sinestro Corps Batman, Long Halloween Catwoman, Animated Catwoman, Animated Robin, Red Robin, and Animated Nightwing.

Finally, a new, yet-to-be-released DLC pack centering on Harley Quinn called Harley Quinn's Revenge will be included. According to Warner Bros., this DLC pack will mark the "final chapter" of Arkham City. It will see Batman and Robin heading back into Arkham City to challenge Harley Quinn, who has returned to attempt to take over the prison city in the wake of the events of the core game. Players will swap between Batman and Robin as they fight to take the infamous prison city down once and for all.
