You cannot have two of the same NPCs in your world at the same time, but if you kill an NPC like your guide with a voodoo doll he will come back, so it's a yes and a no.

There really isn't a way to lead NPCs in terraria, however, they can only jump small distances so be sure to make small stairs for them. Also you can "force" them to go somewhere by blocking of the previous route of stairs. furthermore if you build a suitable house for them they will eventually move in on their own, which makes it easier to move NPCs found in mines.

ok so, whos heard of the Action Replay? OK! Its a cheat machine that you use with your Ds Lite, DSI, 3DS.

In soulsilver it gives you the option for the cheat can catch trainer pokemon, which is basically catching a COPY of their pokemon!

If you use this, you WILL fill up your Pokedex faster!

EXAMPLE: Catch all of the Kimono girls's pokemon! Eevee evolutions are hard to find and rare!

Use this cheat and catch all the pokemon you can! (Can only catch one pokemon per battle!)

Some people have noticed something very special in the game Pokemon SoulSilver and HeartGold. Ditto.

Ditto is that little glob of a Pokemon- Literally. Its purple, and has no specific Gender, like another Pokemon, Magnemite and all of its Evolutions. In SoulSilver (The enhanced Version of the original GameBoy game Silver,) Ditto is usually found in the grass patche colsest to the Day Care.

Say youre extremely smart, and think up a great plan for Breeding mini's (Duplicates), of your starter pokemon? Now, theres one cool plan! But, say you drop off your precious starter pokemon and a Ditto, and you wait. And wait. And wait. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.... nothing happens. And Perhaps you check in with the day care man! And Perhaps he say; "Your ____________ and Ditto (Or vice Versa) are doing just fine! They dont seem to like eachother very much"...

And maybe that breaks your spirit. You probably feel like your whole plan has just exploded into tiny chips, and they cant be glued back together. Well, STOP!

I ran through this whole procedure (Especially the waiting,) and then, practically one after the other, I was presented with two beautiful eggs of my Meganium and Ditto! This took maybe 3 or 4 hours of waiting time. So, dont feel all broken and shook up once you find out that your Pokemon and Ditto Dont get along!

Heres a SPECIAL NOTE!

*Each Species of Pokemon (Except legendaries, who dont have eggs (Except for Manaphy)) has eggs. Each egg species has a required number of steps that are needed for an egg to hatch! No egg is the same number!

The npcs that are avaiblable in terraria and how to get them to move in are listed below.

Mechant- have at least 50 silver in your inventory

Demolitionast- have at least 1 bomb grenade or dynamyte in your inventory

Clothier-moves in after defeating skeletron and is basically the old man in fancy clothes

Old man-The clothier in rags

Mechanic-Is located somewhere in the dungeon which can be accessed after killing skeletron or if you are really good killing the dungeon gaurdian

Goblin Tinkerer-Is found somewhere in the cavern layer in terraria after defeating a goblin army

Arms dealer-Have at least one of any gun in your inventory-the easiest way to get a gun is by smashing one shadow orb in the corruption which gives you a musket

Nurse-will move in after you have found at least one container heart

dyrad-will move in after defaeting a pre-harmode boss not including th wall of flesh

Guide-already there

santa claus-moves in after you have defeated a frost legion and is only accessable during december 15th-25th

With the latest patch, you can find wizard keys, which open a pocket dimension. Basically, a large empty room you can jump into at will. I use it to store large amounts of items.
