An Unusual Ore 15 Meridian You should talk to Kleeg Stonebreaker in Meridian about this unsual ore you've found. This piece of rock splintered off the main lode you were mining after a particularly hefty blow. The inner surface, which had been hidden from view, is dusted in a pattern of rich, dark orange flakes on the otherwise dull rock. The material feels smooth to the touch, and unlike any you have encountered before. Perhaps someone with a greater knowledge of minerals than you can tell you more about it? A fine day, isn't it, [%NAME]? If I wasn't so tied up here I'd love nothing more than to sling a pick over my shoulder and head out into the field. From the looks of you, that's where you just were, am I right? Oh, you found something interesting? By all means, let me see!   Take the Unusual Ore to Kleeg Stonebreaker in Meridian. False   Kleeg Stonebreaker Never 263 1200 Deliver

An Unwanted Assignment 21 Stonefield Kira Thanos has asked you to locate the unearthed artifacts in Titan's Rest that seem out of place and mark them for Uriel to examine. Being dragged to Stonefield to look for antiques isn't really my idea of a good time, but the Faceless Man has his orders and we have ours. You look like you have some experience with this sort of thing, [%CLASS]. Maybe you can help Uriel find what we need. Uriel told me you found some interesting things out there; something about deathtouched artifacts. She gets so excited about old pieces of rock. I'll never understand her. Regardless, we have what we came for. Now I can finally leave this place and get a more engaging assignment. Word of the discovery of salvageable Eth technology here in Stonefield has been spreading and, as you probably know, the news brought many researchers to the region. We're here to ensure that at least some of it makes its way back to Meridian. Return to Kira Thanos at Coterie Camp True Kira Thanos Kira Thanos Never 684 2340
An Unwelcome Visitor 20 Gloamwood Furtho Dragomir wants you to speak with Gwyddon Duskenleaf in Gloamwood Pines. I heard you were in Gloamwood and have been expecting your audience, [%NAME]. However, I have no time to listen to ill tidings from the Vigil. I have a town to run. If you want work, bother Gwyddon Duskenleaf. He always needs help gathering weeds or other bits of trash. My apologies for Furtho's rudeness. I'm glad he sent you to me, though. There's always something I could use help with. Give me a moment, and I'll see what there is to do today.   Speak with Gwyddon Duskenleaf in Gloamwood Pines True Furtho Dragomir Gwyddon Duskenleaf Never 252 750 Talk Guardian
Ancient Ale 38 Moonshade Highlands Find Sergeant Seful of the Runeguard along the road in Hammerknell Pass, and show him the Keg of Hammerknell Stout. Lost to the depths for almost a century, this keg is sound, the contents safe. Some poor soul placed so much value on it that he drowned holding on to the crate. The importance of the contents leads you to believe that the Runeguard will have an interest in it. Is that... No! That's a keg of Hammerknell Stout! That brew has been lost for centuries! By my mother's beard, you have restored a treasure to my people beyond value. From this keg, our brew masters can recreate the recipe for the finest stout Telara has ever seen!   Deliver the Keg to Sergeant Seful on the road near Kelpmere False   Sergeant Seful Never 1916 3870
Ancient Reflections 15 Silverwood Cerys Amare wants you to speak to Markus Walkerwind in Argent Glade about the Mirror of Ages. I heard what happened at Sanctum Watch. If the Aelfwar have forsaken the old ways for the service of Twyl and his dragon lord Greenscale, they are lost to us. Perhaps Markus Walkerwind has some insight into what drove them to this, and of their intentions. The Aelfwar abandoned the gods when they broke from the high elves, but they still occupy our holiest site, the Mirror of Ages. It is said that one can commune with Tavril at the statue we call the Old Man - it is the key to uncovering the Aelfwar's schemes. You must learn about the Aelfwar and what they seek to attain with the power granted them by Hylas's alliance with Fae Lord Twyl. Speak with Markus Walkerwind in Argent Glade True Cerys Amare Markus Walkerwind Never 158 600 Talk
Ancient Seedlings 32 Scarwood Reach Ralyn Laurel asks that you enter the Auld Warden and collect Auld Roots from within the great tree. Quicksilver College suspended my grant after my research was disrupted. Before the trolls drove us out of the Auld Warden, however, we discovered saplings whose roots have potent medicinal qualities. Selling those roots could fund further research. These Auld Roots are excellent! The alchemists and healers who will buy these from me will keep my research going for the foreseeable future. Thank you, [%Name]. Have you had any luck? My research assistants are beginning to talk of packing up for home... Bring the Auld Roots to Ralyn Laurel at Kain's Command True Ralyn Laurel Ralyn Laurel Never 1412 3330 Collect Guardian
Animus Unbound 37 Moonshade Highlands Destroy the large vessels that the Abyssal have placed on Swift Shade Tors, then kill whatever lurks within. The Swift Shade Tors are the large rock formation overlooking Acrid Basin. Judging from the increased activity on the rock formations that overlook the basin, I think the Abyssal have completed their terrible plans; but I haven't heard the squall of their abominations yet. There may still be time to ruin their rituals and destroy whatever horrors they've created up there. So it seems the Abyssal have managed to combine death and water magic and use it to contain living abominations. They have discovered a power here that will be their end - mark my words. We need to inform Uriel and Brother Damon of what we've discovered here. I'm certain that the Abyssal are trying to blend the latent energies of death present in these Highlands with their own water magic in some attempt to twist the sobek that dwell here to their own ends. Return to Loura Lazshii at Seersage Camp True Loura Lazshii Loura Lazshii Never 1826 3780
Another Direction 31 Scarwood Reach The Ambushed Cart shows evidence of an Aelfwar attack. Take the news to Matvei Rostya at Granite Watch, west of Loggers' Rest. The vine-wrapped Granitewood arrows that killed the courier are like nothing you've seen before. The arrows appear to be grown, not crafted. Hopefully, the guards at Granite Watch will recognize them. Hmm... Our courier was killed by vine-wrapped arrows? It's worse than I feared. We've lost something of extreme importance, and it's in the hands of the Fellpine Aelfwar.   Speak with Matvei Rostya at Granite Watch True   Matvei Rostya Never 534 1080 Talk Defiant
Another Troll to Go 20 Stonefield Kill Thingar, chief of the Stonecrush trolls. He was last seen lurking in one of the ravines in Temblor Hills to the northwest of Quarrystone Basin. Among the trolls, Thingar is perhaps the most bloodthirsty. I would gladly pay a bounty to put down that savage beast. He was last seen in one of the ravines in Temblor Hills, tearing apart one of our surveying prototypes. Thank you, [%FULL_NAME]. By killing Thingar, you've made it safer for the researchers here. If any more of them get killed, I'll get demoted for sure. Thingar was last seen in Temblor Hills to the northwest within one of the ravines at the mountain's base. Return to Passel Drobe in Quarrystone Basin True Passel Drobe Passel Drobe Never 630 2250 Kill
Answers of the Dead 21 Gloamwood Alistair Solemn asks that you banish the ghosts of departed Solemns. Collect Potent Essences from the Restless Spirits of Solemn Outlook and place them on Solemn Graves to awaken the ghosts. To break the curse, you must banish the most powerful of my deceased ancestors. You can raise them by placing Potent Essences from the Restless Spirits atop their graves. Make no mistake - your death is all these wraiths desire. You have banished the spirits of the Solemn ancestors, [%NAME], and are not yourself dead. Leave while this still holds true. The power here is beyond you. Once you awaken the eldest of Solemns, you will know fear. Return to Alistair Solemn at Solemn Outlook True Alistair Solemn Alistair Solemn Never 684 2340 Kill Guardian
Anti-Intelligence Report 11 Silverwood Nora Glen wants you to use the Simplicity Wand on the boglings of Sunken Marsh to reduce their intelligence. Sunken Marsh is located south of the Marsh House. I was testing my intelligence enhancement spell on the boglings when Maffle, one of my test subjects, became so clever he escaped. What if he's instructing the others to march on Argent Glade! Use this Simplicity Wand on them to undo any harm I've done. The wand caused the boglings to disintegrate? That's horrible! I had no idea it would have such an effect. I only meant to reduce their wits by a measure or two. On the bright side, this does prove that the boglings are still no more intelligent than a common rat. I really need you to zap boglings with the Simplicity Wand if my tests are going to have any validity. Return to Nora Glen at the Marsh House False Nora Glen Nora Glen Never 243 1440 Use Item
Antivenin Administration 30 Scarwood Reach Use the Antivenin on wrapped victims in the Infested Range for Radav the Wise then speak to Grusha Pavinova at Scarwood Ridge. I was able to make an antidote using those venom sacs you brought me, [%NAME]. Interested in trying it out? Look for the poor souls wrapped in spider webs. Once they're cured, they'll have the strength to break free on their own. Excellent work curing our soldiers with that Antivenin, [%Name]. Radav was right about you! Getting these soldiers back in the fight is going to help take care of that air rift in the Howling Plateau. Any luck with that Antivenin? There should be some poison victims in the Infested Range you can try it on, Ascended.   Applied Theory 5 Terminus Collect Animating Skulls from Decaying Telarans and Risen Telarans in Castrum Hiberna and then return to the Faceless Man at Tempest Station. By absorbing that new soul you are now truly an Ascended, a first among Defiant ranks. Over time you will gain knowledge and power from all your souls, dwarfing the powers of normal men. But you have little time now to reflect on how this will shape your existence. The rising dead threaten our plans to save Telara. Go into the ruins of Castrum Hiberna and flex your new powers. Bring me back Animating Skulls so that we may put the dead to rest once and for all. Amazing! Sylver rivaled the Vigil when he made you. Several Defiants already lost their lives trying to do the task that took you mere minutes to complete. The dead still roam Castrum Hiberna, threatening our plans to save Telara.
