Wait until the title screen comes up, then press and hold the shoulder buttons on Pad1. Then press Select and 'push Start' should now become 'Secret code' with two letters alongside. The left hand letter is changed using up and down, the right by T and X, to enter the level codes: MA UT RH MK HT

Code MA. Press Select then change to SV and press Start. Then enter the rest with Pad2. Up: boosts weapon power Down: Voice mode on/off Left: Gunlock type change. Right: Skips area. T: Invincibility On/off C: Larger no. of bombs S: Switches selected weapon type from Axel to Ruka X: Increase weapon power-up time.
