Highlight the "1P Play" selection at the mode select screen and press Right four times. Then, highlight the "Tournament" selection and press Right. Then, highlight the "Course Edit" selection and press Left twice. Then, highlight the "Option" selection and press Left six times. Finally, highlight the "1P Play" option again and press X. The sound of a cheer will confirm entry.
