Starting Pokemon, which do you choose?

Which do you usually choose when you start? I don't care which game

I just started playing and I chose Charizard, he becomes a freaking dragon, how could I choose a different one haha

Bulbasaur is the OG for me ever since the original Red

I chose Squirtle because I liked water more than fire or plant

I usually choose the fire pokemon because they (at least in the earlier games) looked cooler to me. Now-a-days though they all look pretty strange to me :p

Torchic , in pokemon emerald , since you can learn him cut which would be easier to cut down trees. Also the attack is more powerfull then Peck.

I usually go with the fire, but it's because fire is the most exciting. Cyndaquil was probably my favorite -- Typhlosion wins.

Whichever is useful to me in the end game  - but to go through each pokemon game I've played

Blue - Bulbasaur
Silver - Totodile
Ruby - Torchic
Diamond - Turtwig
Platinum - Piplup
Soul Silver - Cyndaquil
White - Oshawott

I usually pick the one that looks the coolest, in the first games it was of course the fire type (Charizard rocks), You'll get the other types soon enough, so no need to worry too much about your starter.

I chose Squirtle, because I like swimming : P and water pokemons are my favourites, they have many good attacks.

Silver: Cyndaquil
Ruby: Treecko
Leafgreen: Got all of them here by trading and restarting.
Emerald: Treecko (again. I have no idea why I thought I needed another one)
Diamond: Piplup
Soulsilver: Cyndaquil

Seems like I've generally favoured the grass types.

I was a Charmander kid back in the day. The beginning of the game was ROUGH becuase the first two gyms are rock and water, but it always paid off in the end.

Usually fire pokemon :) charmander and cyndaquil all the way! up until the latest generations where i've gone grass, mostly coz i didnt like the look of chimchar. .
