portal 2 single player is it possible to go back to previous test chambers?

lets say i am playing portal 2 single player and I am in level 5 can I go back to level 4 somehow?

you can't get back except by selecting level 4 by selecting a new game or loaded a save game on level 4

Yes you can but not in-game you have to use new game and select that level or load a save game that is in that level

Yes! You can either manually load the level you want via the 'map' command in the console, or you can choose to start at a specific chapter by selecting it in the developer commentary. The developer commentary is nearly exactly the same as the normal single player campaign. The only difference being 3d text objects that can be clicked on to hear the audio commentary of the developers.

If you want to get back extactly to level 4, you can use the "map" command in the console. You can go back to specific chapters by selecting them in the developer commentary if that's good enough for you though.

You will have to press ESC and then load game and chose a level from there.

 You can't select the specific test chambers, but you can select the "Chapters" which contain a specific set of test chambers

You have to load a new game (start singleplayer, then load game...) and you have to goto the 4th level...
