No, there is no monthly fee. You can purchase it during the beta for €14.95. If you wait until the retail version, it'll cost €20.00.

Also, if you have purchased before Alpha, future expansions are all free. However, you may be charged for future expansions (The stuff after the game is released) instead of receiving them for free. It would, of course, be optional.

There is none as of yet. But, notch might consider one in the future for keeping particular/special items. 1.5 should reveal more of what's new in the Minecraft world.

No there is not a monthly fee. That's the great thing about Minecraft. You buy it once and they never charge you more, even when it updates and becomes more awesome! I paid less back then and it costs more now!

no, you don't have to pay more money after you buy it from their site

Once you buy Minecraft theoretically you should never have to pay for it again, unless Mojang adds some items or features that you cannot use without purchasing them. I expect that not to happen though.

There is no subsription currently, and there is unlikely to be one in the future, because it would be a bad business move. He would alienate a large ammount of his current customers by doing so, and he'd have a hard time justifying a subscription fee for a game in which you host your own servers or play in singleplayer. There's actually no excuse I can think of to have one.

If you want it, sooner is better than later, because the price will go up when the game is finished.
