Doom, basically gives the character with this bonus stat extra critical damage when a critical hit happens... So for example if your weilding a 2 handed sword with 45 doom such as the legendary cleave from Domikor lord of Ghost boss rare drop.. Then u get an additional 45 damage from a critical. This means if your critical is x2/ +100% and you normally hit 42 then you will hit 42x2 +45.

So therefore, doom is a very important stat but is only really important to a high dps character in the first place for best usage of the stat. For a knight the best stat would be stagger as this stat stuns the enemy which results in the knight not having to dodge so much as his enemies are stunned and can't hit him.
