wow best elemental shaman race?

I want to start an elemental shaman, what is the best race to pick for it?

Troll, berserking is great for Elemental. If you want to be more balanced I'd go Orc, provides good benefits for all specs.

Troll without question.  The on use Berserking is the highest DPS increasing racial for a caster.  Use it on cooldown, even macro it to an ability/trinket/cooldown so it gets used at the same time for the best effect.  Haste is the most powerful stat for Elemental (behind Intellect, of course) and the more Haste you have the more chances you have for your Mastery to proc.  So the more Haste you have the better Mastery becomes.

Goblin has some amazing racials, however in terms of strictly DPS the Troll has it beat.

Orcs have solid racials but are trumped by both Trolls and Goblins.

Tauren does not provide anything that increases your DPS.  Their racials are rather mediocre.

None of the Alliance races for Shaman have any decent racials when it comes to DPS.  Draenei's is about the best if you're forced to go Alliance.  The 1% to Hit helps and the Heal has its uses... but they all fail when it comes to DPS numbers.
