Where can you find gold diamonds and lapis lazuli in minecraft?

I usually find lapis in caves, but you have to go down deep to get it, but all it does is turn wool blue, no armor, no weapons, no tools, lapis is useless.

Diamonds are found really deep under ground, but it is very hard to find it, if you find any, you're pretty lucky.

I'm not sure where exactly you find gold?
