Usually game forums like CheapAssGamer or SlickDeals have a huge community that post numerous contests info every day. Also if there's a specific game you want, googling "free *insertgametitle* giveaway" or something along those lines also helps.

As Xboxer quoter, i'd recommend Cheap Ass Gamer (CAG). Also, trying searching for terms such as "game giveaway" , "free game gifts" etc on twitter and save the search. Once someone posts it, you'll be notified at the top of the bar as a new tweet.

Or use facebook to find giveaways/ contests.
