catching shiny pokemon tips/black and white

i am new to shiny hunting and dont know very much about it. my friends have told me some tips in catching them. so here they are.

1- always carry a lot of pokeballs. you never know when you might run into a shiny.

2- once you start hunting for a certain shiny pokemon, dont stop. u never know when it will be shiny. it could be the next pokemon.

3- i think using the mesuda method is a great way to get shinys.
