terraria i made a hardcore character and died and respawned.

Well yeah, the character gets reset basically, so you lose your HP/MP and all of the inventory but keep the character itself

cuz i thought they were supposed to die FOREVER if they are hardcore? (like get deleted?)

Yeah, I thought so too, but apparently they made it this way (I think it really would be inconvenient to create a char of your liking every time you wanted to go hardcore)
