Question

How does best answer work on this site?  How is it chosen?  It seems like 1 in 10 answers are chosen as a best answer, how does it work?  I know that the person who created the question could choose the best answer, but i've seen best answers from people who are anonymous.

for anonymous posters it remembers your ip address or something so you can still choose a best answer to your question without having to log in although you dont get points for that.

Also I think if you ask a question and you forgot to log in, it will even let you claim the question as yours once you log in
