(URGENT) how to recover corrupted terraria world files without backup?

I had the same Prblem. You go to "My computer" Search Terraria, and select world. Then there would be a Backup folder entitled "world1.bak" Or world 2 or w/e. You turn that back up file into a wld file by deleting the "bak" at the end. =) Hope this helps.
