I'm having an issue with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Thieves Guild Quest " Trinity Restored" quest, is there a fix?

I'm currently in the middle of the Thieves Guild quests and am currently stuck in "Trinity Restored." My quest target is to stand on the western glyph, however Karliah turns away from the gate and proceeds to walk back through Nightingale Hall and wander about Skyrim (I was curious what she was up to and followed her, even battled a couple of bandits together) while Brynjolf and I stand and wait for her to lower the gate which never happens.

Originally I had Skyrim installed on a desktop computer and this problem occurred. Then when I purchased a new laptop that supported Skyrim, I went through the Thieves Guild Quests and encountered the same problem. I have not performed any side quests on the laptop like I did on the desktop thinking I might have a different outcome. No such luck.

The only mods currently on my game are the ones to change Lydias dialog and one to have the bookcases hold more books.

I have completed the main quest and the Civil War quests as a Stormcloak.

I use cheats/cheatcodes and if there is one that can bypass this articular quest so that I may complete the Thieves Guild quests I'm open to suggestions.

I have tried the forums on Steam, checked for any info on the Elder Scrolls website and have consulted the Skyrim Wiki and niether have yielded any help. ANY suggestions to aid in a solution will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
