how do i switch weapon to my new plasma cannon in red faction armageddon?

You can find all the weapons you've acquired so far in the weapons locker, which you will find in certain places during the campaign. Also, if there is a plasma cannon lying around just step over it and you should be able to switch it for any other weapon you are carrying.
