Terraria lags on 1600x1200 fullscreen

Terraria 1.0.3 has the option to change screen resolution inb fullscreen mode. I changed it to 1600x1200 (my standard screen resolution), entered my world and it was all like in space, slow and strange. Halp? Why could that be?
