It means that you have not bought minecraft Beta, Alpha and therefore you cannot play on it. Thats what i think it means anyway >_<

If you are not premium you have not bought it yet.

that means that you can not play single player and SAVE the game.

And if you havent bought it you can't play against monsters online or offline.

This dosen't mean you can't play the game, but when you play single player or multiplayer (outdated verision)  you got almost all block you can get in the bought verision of the game, but you can't mine any block's yourself or craft any tools.

in the outdated verision of the game (not bought game) you can just build stuff!

Er, it could mean that you need to donate to the server you're playing on to become "premium" or "vip". I haven't heard of that anywhere else.

It means with the account ur using has not bought the minecraft beta game, therefore u do not have a premium account. all it really means is that u can't play online.
