If you've never played before set the control to "Two Button" mode, then the button on the right (O on ps3) is shoot/clear/, and the bottom button (X on ps3) is pass/through ball/cross (i.e. everything button shoot), L1 or equivalent is change player, R2 or equivalent is sprint, and that's it :)
