I found no way not to kill her.

It seems after certain missions she will just attack you for no reason and you have no choice but to kill her. Maybe a bug. Maybe one of the mission you did pissed her off.

Do you mean the quest for the van grafts?

Or are you of evil karma? If you have bad karma Cass will give you 3 chances if you talk to her, so its best to not talk to her when you have bad karma. If you insult her parents she'll attack.

For the Van graft quest, its up to you if you want to complete it :)

no, she will only die if you help the Van Graffs by bringing her to them, they will kill her. you can help cass, but then the van graffs will have to die. alternately, you can bring cass to them and change your mind at the last minute, but the van graffs are very hard to fight, and they have body guards
