From the manuel:

The Wings and Halo mean that Hawke will be "helpful or particularly nice"

The stem with leaves on it mean that Hawke will "take an agreeable, tactful position"

The Mask means that Hawke will be "wry, humorous, or witty"

The diamond means that Hawke will "act charmingly"

The fist means that Hawke will "Speak or act aggressively"

The gavel and block means that Hawke will "speak directly or rudely"

The crossed swords mean that Hawke will "initiate a fight, or strike / kill someone in conversation"
