Well konami have said they're looking into making mgs3 for 3rd to compliment the demo they created. If that ever comes out, I think I have my answer to best 3rd game.

After playing several I would say that it depends enitrely on your personal preference XD but street fighter, PES and ridge racer are very good, avoid ghost recon :)
