I'm playing my wood elf focusing on archery, stealth, one handed weapons, light armour, alchemy, enchanting, smithing, in that order.  Of course I put one perk into restoration.  I find poisoning my bow and then sneak attacking too much fun.  L..A to stay mobile, one handed duel wield for melee once enemies get in too close.  Smithing just because its cool to make stuff and then enchant it.  This build is optimal for assassins because onehanded/archer/stealth is the what assassination is all about (add in enchantment and you get the picture).  However, mixing in illusion and alteration magic makes things interesting for sure.  It's all about what you find the most fun.  If you really dig one hand sword, one hand alteration, put more into alteration than light armour.  I hope you catch my drift.  Long live the bosmer.
