Unfortunately, the best way to beat him is to back up and spam lightning bolt.

The key here is to get the full screen length away. If you're even a little too close, he'll spam his javeline and hammer throw which will tear you up, even if you block them.

Once your a full screen length away, he should stay back and taunt you every few seconds.

It may still take a few tries, but just retry and be patient. Mortal Kombat bosses have always been cheap like this.

Teleport behind him and sweep. Hold for a sec as he gets up and starts to attack again, teleport and sweep. Keep repeating this process. after every 4-5 sweeps he'll change his order and maybe block or parry and will get you. Its okay just keep repeating the process and throw an xray in there if its ready.
