hit the newish bits of grass sticking out of blocks, these can drop seeds

these seedsd must be planted

use a hoe on a dirt block within 4 blocks of a water source to create farmland, this should turn a dark brown if its close enough to the water source, this is now perfect for growing wheat, plant the seeds on the block and wait

when its ready it will change colour, hit it to collect wheat and a chance of 0-3 seeds aswell

 

note wheat needs light to grow, it will be destroyed if you or a mob walks on it too much, and you can use bonemeal to grow it instantly
